Brenden was born and raised north of Regina, in a small town in the Qu’Appelle Valley. Brenden remains deeply rooted in both Regina, and the surrounding communities.
Brenden attended the University of Regina, as a student athlete, where he obtained his Bachelor of Human Justice degree with a concentration in Criminal and Restorative Justice. Upon completion, Brenden decided to combine his love for travel with his pursuit of a higher education and completed his Juris Doctor while attending Bond University in beautiful Gold Coast, Australia. He graduated with distinction, several certificates, and a specialization in Canadian Legal Practice.
Brenden's proficient and meticulous nature allowed him to combine full-time study with full-time employment during his undergrad and law degree. Brenden worked for, and volunteered at, Pro Bono Law Saskatchewan and a prominent downtown Regina firm, which provided him with a wealth of invaluable practical experience. While in Australia, Brenden worked as a law clerk at a full-service private law practice specializing in family and criminal law, where he gained extensive litigation experience through trials at various levels of State and Federal court. He conducted appearances in the Magistrates Court of Queensland and the Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Court of Queensland for various applications. He also conducted proceedings in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal for small claims and residential tenancy disputes, all of which helped him develop strong oral advocacy skills, critical for success in the legal profession.
Brenden is excited to have the opportunity to shape his legal career and begin his articles at Linka Howe Peterson. Brenden aspires to maintain a general litigation practice primarily focused in the areas of family and criminal law. However, he remains exceedingly interested in the areas of civil litigation, residential and commercial real estate, wills and estates, corporate, and employment law matters. Brenden welcomes any opportunity to extend his legal knowledge and develop his skills as a successful legal professional.
